WATCH: Tucker RIPS Dem Claiming To Have Evidence Of Collusion; ‘I Hate To Inject Common Sense…’

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson ripped and embarrassed Democrat California Rep. Eric Swalwell on Monday night after the liberal claimed to have evidence of collusion against President Donald Trump.

As noted by The Daily Caller, Carlson kicked off the segment on his show with a video from July 2016, which showed Trump joking about Russia having Hillary Clinton’s 33,000 deleted emails.

Swalwell, a staunch never-Trumper, claimed Trump’s comments proved he was colluding with Moscow.

“Do we have the 30,000 emails, did Russia ever come up with those? Oh, no they, they didn’t actually,” Carlson said, mocking Swalwell’s ridiculous assertion.

“Well, we haven’t seen them,” Carlson said.

“Well, let’s let the Mueller investigation continue,” Swalwell replied.

“Okay, maybe Mueller’s in contact with the Russians, but Trump didn’t come up with those from the Russians, so that didn’t happen,” Carlson said.

As the segment progressed, Swalwell deflected from many questions and got embarrassed because he couldn’t provide evidence of any collusion.

Carlson ripped him to pieces, and he put the final nail in the coffin by implying the Democrat lacked common sense:

“I hate to inject common sense into this. If you’re trying to make secret contact with Russia, your handlers back in Moscow, wouldn’t you dial them up on the short wave in the basement? Would you really sent a coded message in the middle of a joke at a press conference?”

“So that’s — that’s the smoking gun right there? He’s both a secret agent for Putin but he’s so dumb he spills his secrets at a press conference on TV.”

After a year of investigating, Special Counsel Robert Mueller hasn’t found or produced a shred of evidence against Trump regarding illegal activities or collusion with Russia.

Many agree with Swalwell that we should never tolerate any foreign government or officials interfering in our elections.

But Swalwell claimed there’s evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia, and that is a flat-out lie.

Thankfully, Carlson ripped him for it and informed viewers that the Democrat was peddling fake news.
