A supporter of President Donald Trump went viral on Wednesday for schooling the Santa Clarita City Council in California on immigration.
Her two minute speech was so powerful and riveting, the audience erupted and rose to their feet with a loud applause.
As noted by the Los Angeles Times, Santa Clarita was listening to testimony from the community before making a decision on opposing the so-called sanctuary law passed by the Democrat-led California legislature.
The panel voted 5-0 to oppose the sanctuary law — meaning Santa Clarita will abide by current federal immigration law — and efforts from one Trump supporter likely sealed the deal.
Here’s part of what the Trump supporter said:
“If you’re in this country and you are here legally, we love you. We want you to be successful, but we want you to be American. We want you to respect our flag, we want you to make sure you assimilate to our ways. We want to make sure you don’t start waving your flag, the flag from your country that you are telling us you don’t want to go back to.”
“God bless Trump.”
The room erupted when she walked back to her seat.
