Wednesday, President Trump held a roundtable discussion in Missouri, announcing that there will be a “round two” for tax relief!

The President is working with congressional Republicans on a “phase two” of his historic tax-reform plans to help middle-class America and corporations, noting that “it’s going to be something that I think is very special.”

“We’re going for a phase two, which will help — in addition to middle-class — companies.”

The President Tweeted a video of the roundtable session shortly after, again mentioning tax cuts!:

“It’s going to be something that I think will really be a big incentive to do a lot of things like we’re doing right here. A tremendous incentive for the workers,” the president announced.

Both the House and the Senate are “working on it with me,” he added.

Trump’s roundtable discussion involved reviewing recent successes, resulting from tax cuts; and bashing the Democrats for their hand in fighting the historic win for middle America.

“Unfortunately, on the original plan, we didn’t have one Democrat vote — which is pretty incredible. Now, they’re regretting it,” Trump joked.

The president also declared that the White House had requested Congress finance 24 new F-18 Super Hornet fighter jets to be made by Boeing in its future budget. Adding, “The F-18, one of my favorite planes, to me, it’s a work of art. […] You look at the workers. Look at the talent that went into it. It’s spectacular. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.”

Local Missouri leaders and Boeing workers celebrated how the tax plan helped them, with many of them took time to mention how tax relief gains had helped their families or add to their retirement.

“This bonus could not have come at a better time in my life and my family’s life,” said Renee Cricker, an employee of the College of the Ozarks.

Boeing CEO Muilenburg, brought up his company used the tax savings to invest $300 million “back into our people.”

“We’re going to continue to put tax reform to work. […] We appreciate your leadership and Congress’ leadership on getting that passed,” praised Muilenburg.

The President is expected to announce more details in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
